Lowpro and Fourthcity are lining up a sick show this Friday at Mighty. We're gathering some of the best laptop performers on the West Coast, adding in the visual genius of Lightrhythm's Ben Sheppee, and mixing it all together in the hottest new nightclub in SF. If you haven't been down to Mighty this is a perfect opportunity to check out the club for just $5! It all makes sense.

Fourthcity is Seattle's premier dj, laptop, and production crew hosting a successful local weekly as well as rocking out the national Laptop Battles in cities around the US. They've just released a sick compilation of forward looking music that bring a human touch to the word progressive. The crew is coming to town to drop some musical time bombs, and change the way you think about the live production environment.

This week's Nitevibe Buzz said, "Come catch the Fourthcity crew as they throw down their own breed of music fresh from Seattle. These cutting-edge producers and DJs are the masterminds behind the national Laptop Battles going on across the country, and will showcase their revolutionary talents this friday at Mighty. Highlights include a DJ team (Hideki, Kamui, & Bumblebee), laptop sets by Zapan, djn, & absolute madman, and a special tag set by J.Tonal and Twittering Machine."

Ben Sheppee has also been hard at work crafting more of his brilliant motion graphics for his upcoming DVD release The Hidden Partition. He will be showcasing many of the new videos, as well as mixing in footage from your favorite Lowpro and Lightrhythm video artists (Control Machine, VJ Culture, etc.)

Ever since Twittering Machine claimed the 2004 SF Laptop Battle crown, his sets have been much sought after, and this Friday he will team up with SF party animal and Lowpro Lounge founder J.Tonal for a techified trip into the San Francisco underground. Playing original material as well as unreleased tracks from the Lowpro family, the pair will definitely drop some fresh beats for your ear-hole.
